It is not surprising, with its close proximity to Monticello Dam, that Markley Cove is known as the “Gateway to Lake Berryessa”. Markley Cove opens at 6:00am, seven days a week, year around for your convenience. The launch ramp is very accessible and parking is located adjacent to the ramp.

Lake Berryessa is rated as one of the best fisheries in the state. The deep cool water and the warm surface temperatures provide excellent conditions for both cold and warm water fish including trout, bass, crappie and Kokanee salmon. A fishing license is required. Markley Cove no longer sells licenses.
All types of boating are allowed at Lake Berryessa. The water is clear and clean and the average water temperature of 76 degrees lures skiers, swimmers, kayakers, and sailors alike.
